Jesse was an award-winning Australian author of novels for adults and kids, an emerging screenwriter, a public speaker, literacy advocate, and a freelance journalist. She spent a four month residency in Antarctica as Australian Antarctic Arts Fellow. Her essay about the experience has was published in Kill Your Darlings.
